Beide sind Kunstschaffende von Weltformat. Fleischmann und Strauss sind zusammen ein deutsches Künstler- und Wissenschaftlerpaar\, das sich seit 1987 mit New Media und Digitalen Medien als Verbindung von Kunst und Technik unter dem Schwerpunkt Mixed Reality befasst. Mit ihren international ausgestellten interaktiven Inszenierungen gelten sie als Pioniere der Medienkunst. \nZwei Ehrungen\, die ihre künstlerische Karriere einrahmen\, sind:\n1992: Goldene Nica der Ars Electronica für die VR-Installation „Home of the Brain“\n2018: SIGGRAPH Lifetime Achievement Award in Digital Art für Monika Fleischmann \nDer öffentliche Vortrag findet am Mittwoch\, 19.
