DESCRIPTION:The A MAZE. and SyncReality XR GAME Jam is organized by A MAZE. and is part of the official program of A MAZE. / Berlin 2023 – 12th International Games and Playful Media Festival in collaboration with the Berlin-based company SyncReality. \nThis hybrid game jam brings together playful media (game\, VR\, XR) creators to reach new levels of immersion\, playfulness and performance in XR by creating playable prototypes with the freshly developed XR design tool SyncReality. \nLearn more about the design tool on SyncReality’s website and join the Discord community server. \nThis is SyncReality’s launch event for the Beta version of their tool\, which offers a complete rebuild of the Alpha version: more lightweight\, more powerful\, and easier to operate. Participants will be onboarded to this Unity tool before the game jam\, so you can hit the ground running! \nApply now for the A MAZE. and SyncReality XR Game Jam and develop a fun\, interactive\, out of the box experience within just 48 hours. You can join as an individual or a team. SUMMARY:Places Hackathon in Residence
DESCRIPTION:Schaufenster im Quartier – Hackathon\nWIRTSCHAFT. IMMERSIV. DENKEN. \nIm Zeichen von Energiekrise\, Klimawandel und verändertem Einkaufsverhalten stellt sich die Frage\, wie man eine ressourceneffiziente und nachhaltige Wirtschaft entwickeln kann. Gerade im Einzelhandel sind innovative Ansätze gefragt\, die im Rahmen des Places Hackathon in Form von Augmented-Reality-Prototypen gesucht\, gefunden und anschließend in den Schaufenstern präsentiert werden. \nBeim Places Hackathon haben die Teilnehmer:innen die Gelegenheit\, in interdisziplinären Teams gemeinsam vier Tage – und damit deutlich länger als bei einem klassischen Hackathon – an ihren Prototypen zu arbeiten. Die Teams leben und arbeiten vor Ort in Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf – ähnlich dem Konzept eines “artist in residence”-Programms. \nHACKATHON IN DER WEB-APP \nWas passiert beim Places Hackathon?\nMontag\, 01.05. – Start der Arbeitsphase\nDonnerstag\, 04.05. – Jury-Rundgang\, Pitch & Siegerehrung beim Eröffnungsempfang des Festivals\nFreitag\, 05.05.\, 15–20 Uhr und Samstag\, 06.05.\, 11-18 Uhr– öffentliche Präsentation der Ergebnisse im Rahmen des Places Festivals \nINFO-PDF \nEntdecke welche Prototypen die Teams in nur vier Tagen entwickelt haben und bekomme Einblicke in neue Ideen für den Einzelhandel.\nSTANDORTE\nDie Schaufenster\, die beim Hackathon bespielt werden\, gehören zu den verschiedensten Institutionen\, Akteur:innen und Künstler:innen an der Bochumer Straße. Nicht nur der typische Einzelhandel\, auch Ateliers und Leerstände sind vertreten.
